Good morning friends,
Grace and peace be unto you!
Grace and peace be unto you!
Psalm 121 A song of ascents.
1I lift up my eyes to the hills-- where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.3He will not let your foot slip-- he who watches over you will not slumber; 4indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. 5The LORD watches over you-- the LORD is your shade at your right hand; 6the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. 7The LORD will keep you from all harm-- he will watch over your life;8the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

I love this version of the scripture. It asks where does my help come from. It comes from the Lord. The one that made heaven and earth. The one that strung the stars in the sky and painted the earth with the waters. If he is that careful of heaven and earth how much more does he care about you that were made in his image.
The psalmist goes on to say that the Lord that created these heavens will not allow the sun or the moon to overtake you. He will be your shade. He will be your bodyguard watching over your coming and going. Wow! That right there is shouting ground. The God of the universe, your father is so concerned that he puts a detail out to watch over you. To keep you from falling.
A word of caution. Don't try to outrun your protection. I remember Michelle Obama saying that sometimes they just wanted to be regular and go to ordinary places but they were always flanked with bodyguards. She shared about a time that she and one of their daughters escaped for a time just to have fun. Nothing happened to them but the Lord just said don't try to outrun or hide from my protection. Stay in his will. It's the safest place to be. Thank you Clark Sisters.
Until tomorrow #liveBlessed
