Wednesday Word

Esther 4:16 “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

Thursday Thoughts

Good morning
Grace and peace be unto you!

The word for today is per·sist·ence

Which means to have firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.

As I watch people in the course of business this is the one characteristic that I see makes the biggest difference between success and failure. Persistence is so important  because everyone will not always understand, agree, or jump on board your great idea. It truly takes you knowing that you know your purpose. What is it that you are called to do? What wakes you up in the morning and keeps you up at night?

Dear friend today I want remind you that you are the gift that the world needs. Your talents, knowledge, and experience can not be shared by anyone else. You are uniquely you. Nobody else has had your life journey that molded and shaped you into the beautiful, exquisite gem that you are.
Yes, to get the most sparkle and shine you must go through some processes that might not feel good but it is cutting off all the excess. Nobody elses brilliance compares to your because you sparkle from every direction. Put an extra pep in your step today. Sparkle just a little brighter today so that someone can see your light.

Monday Motivation

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

I pray that you ate finding yourself blessed on this MLK Day. I just wanted to center our thoughts today around one of his quotes. Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.

This is so applicable no matter what stage of life you're in. I have heard it said to step afraid, but I prefer to step in faith. See when I walk in faith I'm not walking alone like I am if I walk in fear. Too often we dwell in that place of uncertainty until we become paralyzed by it. Too paralyzed to lift our foot over to our place of blessing. See, it is only when we take that step that we can be set free from the voices that tell us all the negative comments. Each step takes us closer to our goal and further from ties that bind us.

Take the step. The step toward your education, your business, your marriage, your new home, just step. The first one is difficult but each one after that helps you to build for the next. Before you know it you've conquered that case and your on to the next. Step.

Friday Focus

Good morning
Grace and peace be unto you!

Our focus for this morning is on cervical cancer. The following information and recommendations come from the national cancer association. I am not promoting the shot but it is an option.

Cervical Health Awareness Month is a chance to raise awareness about how women can protect themselves from HPV (human papillomavirus) and cervical cancer. HPV is a very common infection that spreads through sexual activity, and it causes almost all cases of cervical cancer.

About 79 million Americans currently have HPV. Many people with HPV don’t know they are infected. And each year, more than 11,000 women in the United States get cervical cancer.

The good news?

The HPV vaccine (shots) can prevent HPV.
Cervical cancer can often be prevented with regular screening tests and follow-up care. Cervical cancer screenings can help detect abnormal (changed) cells early, before they turn into cancer. Most deaths from cervical cancer could be prevented by regular screenings and follow-up care

Thursday Thoughts

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you.

If we put the right foods in our body we will get the right results. You can eat junk and expect to be a lean, mean, fighting machine.

Look at what you are putting in your body and you will see why you are getting the results you have. There is no time like the present to start the pit the best stuff in you temple. The better you, the better you think, and the long you live.

Wednesday Word

Good morning
Grace and peace be unto you!

Rejoice always and delight in your faith;be unceasing and persistent in prayer;in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

It is easy to give thanks when everything is going well, but it is much harder to give thanks when your world has been turned upside down. It is important that we don't lose faith in the rough times. I know, this is easier said than done but this is where our relationship was God begins to really grow. It's in the times where we have to trust him where we can't see him that we really begin to build our relationship.

Growing up we used to sing the song called through it all. Just summarize the song, says it through it all I've learned to trust in Jesus I've learned to trust in God. See you at the times when we don't see the full evidence of God working that we have to put down our flesh and let our spirit man cry out to its creator. No it's not easy but its necessary.

As we look around our world, our city, our neighborhoods there's so many things for us to be thankful for in the midst of so much chaos. God never promised that everyday would be a bed of roses but he did promise that he would keep us in spite of. My brothers and sisters I encourage you to use the power of gratefulness.

The power of gratefulness is just the ability to see the positive in any situation. Now I know you're saying well I don't see any positive in my situation but I promise you there is. You just haven't taken the time to look closely enough. Sometimes the things that feel bad are the things that are working for our good. Divorce news feel good but sometimes it's working for our good. Sickness doesn't feel good but sometimes that's the only way we begin to change our ways. No the situations aren't good but they work for your good. So brothers and sisters take the time to look and to see what God is working out in you.

Tuesday Transformation

Good morning
Grace and peace be unto you!

Too often we get discouraged because we don't have big things popping off in our lives but I would challenge you to change your thinking. Its not always the big things that make the most difference, but it is the small consistent things that bring change.

You are not going to go in the gym,  for the first time in six years, and come out ready for the Olympics. It is the small consistent things that you do that you might not see, but someone who hasn't seen you in months immediately notices.

Don't give up because you don't see immediate success. Pound it out. Keep pushing for yours. I see your future and it looks better than your past.

Monday Motivation

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

Too often we walk around like we are powerless over our circumstances but I will step out on faith today and beg to differ. We have power over the things that happen in our life by the choices we make. If we can only be still and quiet our flesh God will reveal the right answers. However, most of us believe we know what's best and we only want God to be our yes man.

Interestingly enough we don't really want his guidance, because we have all the answers but when the ish hits the fan we blame him and turn our back to him. Boo, you got yourself in this situation. God has been silent cause you have all the answers.

Your circumstances don't have to control you. Move with the direction of your purpose giver. All power is in him. It is in and through him that we have the right attitude to attract the positive into our lives.

Thursday Thoughts

Good morning
Grace and peace be unto you!

Today is Thursday. To have eyes and not be able to see is not nearly as bad as having eyes but having no vision. (Paraphrased from Helen Keller)
What do I mean? To be blind it's not the worst thing in the world. But to be able to see and enjoy the beauty of the world but to have no vision and a have no purpose is worse than not having sight.

It's been amazing over the last few weeks as I've been doing vision boards to see people that cannot figure out what they want to put on their board. Not because they have too many things but because they have no vision. The Bible tells us without a vision the people perish.

Do you have a vision for your life? If you don't this is the time to wipe the sleep from your eyes and get to writing. There is no time like the present to begin. If you need help let me know.

Wednesday Word

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

Our word for today comes from Isaiah 43:18-19
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

As we into this new year what are the things that you need to stop dwelling on? Who do you need to forgive? We have to empty our spiritual cup so that it can be filled with the new thing that God is doing in and through us.

Don't let this year be like every other year,  where you drag the past into the future. Cut off every string that keeps you bound to the past. Walk in the freedom that has been granted to you.

2018 is a year of new beginnings. Take full advantage of the open window of January. Begin again. Don't make promises, make steps.

Transformational Tuesday's

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

I pray that your new year has began well. As we push into 2018 transforming our mind is essential to changing the trajectory of our future. Can't be focused on the same junk if you want different results.

It is said that everything is created twice. First in the mind and next in the physical world. Then I added on live it. Dream it, create it, live it.  So, what are you creating? What is in your mind? Think about what you are thinking about. My friends this a new year of great possibility but you have transform your thinking if you want to be different then last year. If you do the same , you get the same. You are the only hindrance or blessing in your path.

And as always remember to... live Blessed
