Friday Focus

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

This is the last Friday of June. The first 6 months of this year are almost in the book. Did you accomplish your goals in the first half? What are your wins and your losses? Take some time this weekend to evaluate what you want to stop, change, or keep going into the second half?

If you have been building what and/or who do you need to add to your village? Just like it takes a village to raise a child,  it takes a village to build your dream. What are you missing to bring balance to the village?

We all have a bit of homework before July 1.

Until Monday

Wednesday Word

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

Proverbs 10:17 The road to life is a disciplined life; ignore correction and you’re lost for good.

As we move further in our week let's take the time to ask God for wisdom and to show us how to be disciplined in our lives. The scripture tells us to live a disciplined life. Which means we don't get sidetracked from our purpose by every sideshow hussle, and we don't get bent out of shape when improvements are brought to our attention.

Yes, I know. Everyone does not know how to give constructive feedback. Take the true meaning and spirit of the conversation and make your adjustments. Even a broken clock is correct twice a day. Don't discount people because they don't come in the package you want. A child might give you the jewel that you need to finish your crown.

Transformation Tuesday

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

Let's talk about transitions this morning. One of the hardest transformational periods in our lives is that time when our bodies say one thing and our heads say another. Don't beat yourself up because you can't do the things now that you could a few years ago. Time and gravity bring about a change. Find the things that bring you joy now. Take some time in this season of your life to get to know you again. Don't be in despair about what was, get jubilant for what can be. You have the opportunity to reinvent yourself. Who do you want to be and what would you like to do? The world is your oyster, slurp it up.

Monday Motvation

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

As you think about your week, what would you like to see manifested? See, what you focus on is what will come forth for you. Positive thoughts produce positive results. I pray that today is an example of what your week will be. Positive, productive, and Passionate.

Friday Focus

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

On this Friday Focus, I want to remind you to take time to focus on your mental wellness. Notice what drains you as well as what gives you life. Be aware of the times when you are tired. Is it the same time of day? How much have you eaten and was it food that would give energy or is the source of your tiredness? When you have stress in your life do you talk about it or do you hold it in until you bust on someone that has nothing to do with it?
Wellness is essential.

Until Monday

Thursday Thoughts

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

You are enough. This is just echoing in my head this morning to share. Whoever ignored you, came against you, pushed you aside, know it's not really about you because you are more than enough. Every word of doubt and fear in your heart must go. You are more than enough. Look yourself in the mirror and say, I am more than enough. Doesn't mean I'm perfect or that I don't have room to grow but for today. I'm more than enough.

Until tomorrow

Wednesday Word

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

Below is the biblegateway's scripture of the day.

Ephesians 5: 25-26 MSG Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They’re really doing themselves a favor—since they’re already “one” in marriage.
Wow, who wouldn't return this kind of love? LOL, the only thing that raised my brow was  the word wives. Let's just stick to one. I think some of the lessons from this passage are applicable to other relationships. 1. Love will make us whole. So if we can love others it will make them whole and it will heal the broken places in us. 2. Everything a husband does should be done to bring out the best in his wife. This means there would be no abuse mentally or physically. Beating will never bring out the best. 3. Ladies, we should be dresses with radiance and holiness. 4. If we understand how we are intertwined with others we understand that our love toward them not only blesses them but us as well.
While this is talking to husbands, all of us can ratchet up our love quotient.

Transformation Tuesday

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

Transforming our situation starts with transforming our environment. Who are you allowing to pour into you? Who are you venting to and where are they taking your words?  Words are so power that they are what created this world. If they can create and call into existence things that were not into things that exist now we all must watch our words.

People will try to speak evil into your life if you allow them. Some are very unaware of the power of their words, while others are very calculative and planned with their torpedoing of your thought and ideas. Be careful what you take in because it will take root and be spoken from you as if it's you. Then you vent it to others and that noise pollution is passed on.

Be cautious of what is spoken into you, over you, and around you. They can change the trajectory of your life. #transformation

Good morning,

“The tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.” – Benjamin Mays

Have you taken the time to write down your goals? If they are not on paper they are just dreams. You deserve to not only have goals but to see them come to pass. Don't let time and excuses rob you of your destiny.

Wednesday Word

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” - John 16:33

Peace is missing in so many of our minds.  Stress and anxiety are at an all-time high and people are seeking answers from everywhere but up.

Today, I encourage you to breathe, find someone to talk with, and practice a bit of self-care. As women, we believe it's selfish to get a massage because it seems luxurious but if you don't get that stress and tension out of your body it will eat you alive. At least go to the mall and the 20$ set in the chair massage. They really help on a tight budget.

My heart is heavy with the number of suicides and the attempt that are all around. Life can suck but not so bad that ending it is the only answer. Find an outlet for your pain and frustration. It is real but there are real answers. Love over fear.

Transformation Tuesday

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

Change is a little word that makes so many of us uncomfortable but it does not have to. Think about change as a great opportunity to grow and learn new things. It is only when we go into change with fear that we become paralyzed. Embrace change as you transform into the beautiful creature God has called you to be.

Monday Motivation

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

You will see that there is so much good around you and in you when you stop focusing on the negative. My friend you are God's greatest gift to this world. Don't allow anyone to trick you out of believing that. Your journey may not be easy, and you might not have come through it down no problems boulevard but you are here. Praise God. Yes, it might be storming in your life today but beautiful flowers will grow from it. Don't focus on the rain. It has its purpose. The sun is coming for you, just wait. Prepare the vase for the bouquet you are about to bring forth.

Good morning,

1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 The Message (MSG)

9-11 God didn’t set us up for an angry rejection but for salvation by our Master, Jesus Christ. He died for us, a death that triggered life. Whether we’re awake with the living or asleep with the dead, we’re alive with him! So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it.

Monday Motivation

Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!

On this first Monday of the 6th-month of this year, I want you to take a few moments to reflect on all of the wonderful things that have happened in this year. Before you say it, yes there have been some bad things and those need to be reflected upon as well. Take some real time to meditate on both and see what you need to keep, what you need to let go of, and what needs to be added to your life.

You have got this. Don't allow disappointments or distractions keep you from achieving all that you are distended to achieve.
