Monday Motivation

Good Morning,
I was away at Young Life camp with no real service, so I was not able to share with you last week.
Today,  in our Monday Motivation I want to just share this, under 2 min prayer, to get your day started.

Wednesday Word

Good morning,
Wow, I watched the news last night and the only news story that wasn't about someone being killed was about leeches.  This is ridiculous. It is only May and every single day someone is getting shot or stabbed. Then there is this other group of people who are just going to sleep and not getting up.
We need to seek the Lord like never before. On the flip side of this murder situation is the absolute destruction of our school system.  Please realize,  because they smile in your face does not mean they have Jesus in their heart.
Systems are crashing all around us and where are the prayers, the seers, and the watchers?  While we sit back silent the enemy is still moving, working and getting stuff in place to lull is to sleep so we will accept the foolishness that is on the horizon.

And as always...remember to live Blessed

Wednesday Word

Good Morning,
This morning let's take a look at prayer. Specifically an acronym ACTS.
And as always...live Blessed

A.C.T.S. is an easy way to remember key elements of prayer. It’s simply prayer in four parts:
Adoration – “Praise be to God!” -Psalms 68:35
Tell God how much you appreciate Him. Express your love for Him. Praise His power and majesty. This is a great way to begin your prayer time. Sometimes I watch the sun rise, and praise God for the beauty of His creation. You should never run out of praise. “How awesome are your deeds!” -Psalms 66:3
Confession – “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” -1 John 1:9
Tell Him where you have fallen short. Be specific. I thank Him for the forgiveness I have in Christ and ask for help and strength to turn away from future temptations.
Thanksgiving – Always “glorify him with thanksgiving” -Psalms 69:30
You have plenty of reasons to be thankful. Thank God for His love, His faithfulness, His patience and a million other things. Express gratitude for what He’s doing in your life. Thank Jesus for dying on the cross for you. Thank the Holy Spirit for indwelling you, and never leaving. Thank Him for being your conscience, your counselor and that “still small voice.”
Supplication – “Make your requests known to God.” -Philippians 4:6
Tell God what you want, no matter how small it seems to you. Do you really think any of your requests are big to God the Creator? You should have lots of intercessory prayer here. Remember: As a Promise Keeper, you are committed to pray for your pastor and your church every day.

Wednesday Word

Good morning,
Today is Wednesday Word and want to share a little something that stood out for me at bible class, last night.

2Chronicles 7:12-15 NIV
“the Lord appeared to him at night and said: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices. “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”

I count a real privilege when God chooses to speak to me. Here it says, that he appeared unto him. Wow, what an honor, even if it's for correction. Nobody shows up unless they are truly concerned. So the Lord shows up and says, I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place. Out of the places he chose this place.

Catch this, because chose this place I'm telling that some stuff is about to pop off, but don't get beside yourself about it. This is what you do. Humble yourself before me. Pray and seek my face. Why does he say pray and seek my face? Too often as believers our prayer is a list of wants, not prayer for direction. Not prayer that honors God and his mighty power. So he says pray and seek my face. Then turn from our wicked ways.

We don't talk a lot about repentance anymore. That whole concept of being so sorry for something that we turn from it, even when people are not around. Too often as Christians we are much like two year olds watching to see if anyone sees what we are doing. God forbid. We need to repent and stop just going through the motions and getting in our "church" stance with all of th jargon that comes along. But it is only when we have done all of the steps that he will hear us and heal our land. America we need a healing. Get back too seeking.

And as always...live Blessed share the blog with someone and encourage them to sign up.
