Monday Motivation

Good Morning,
Wow, can you believe this is last day of February?  Time is flying by. I want to share this inspiration with you. I think this is a gorgeous picture of Ella Fitzgerald.  Such a powerful voice all the way to the end.

Are you inspired? The quote today says, where there is love and inspiration, you can't go wrong. What inspires you? If you don't know, today is the time to find out. You knowing and acting on your inspiration might just be the catalyst that the person that is watching you needs to get going. Did you know that everyone has a secret watcher. That person that might not ever say anything to you, but is constantly watching how you handle situations. Is your love showing? Are you leading, by example or are you sitting on the sideline complaining? Make sure that you allow the things that inspire you to guide you along the path designated by God.

As always...live Blessed

Friday Findings

Good morning
I have a picture to share with you this morning. Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with this brother on most issues,  however I do believe we need to reposition ourselves and reassess the power that resides in us and around us through synergy created by us and the power of God.

Wednesday Word

Good morning friends.
I want to talk a little this morning about what is on my mind, I know it's not Thursday,  but there is a lot there.
The first thing is about death. I have been watching a dear friend as she graciously accepts the will of God in the death of her husband.  The Scripture came to mind, oh death where is thy sting?  I know contextually it has nothing to do with a regular person dying, but I started thinking about the sting that comes with the death of a loved one, because it does sting. That pain is then exacerbated by the element of surprise that comes when this has not been the expected culmination to the matter.
I have watched as she cried in one breath and rejoined in the God of all salvation in the next breath. It is in these times that, I will bless the Lord at All times either gets lived out in your life or not.
The next scripture that came to mind is in Isaiah 57, where he, and Donald Lawerance, talk about beautiful are the feet of those who proclaim good news or the gospel of Jesus.  Anytime a person sells out to carry the gospel it is an awesome task. Can we do it in the good times and the bad times? Someone is why watching your example of holiness.  Someone is watching your example of salvation and righteous living. Will they be attracted to the light that you are displaying?  Growing up we used to sing a song that said shine on me, shine on me. Let the light from the lighthouse, shine on me. Is your light a beacon to show a path toward God?
I have watched grace in action. A woman of God walk in, and surround herself, with the grace of God and it has been a privilege to serve and see this excellent example.
Remember...live Blessed

Tuesday Tools

Good morning
Often we don't eat well because it is too expensive.  Aldi is going to help make a difference.

ALDI, the discount grocery store, recently announced that they will soon be supplying mostly organic products and will be banning many pesticides and toxic chemicals.

The chemicals recently banned from their products includes Thiamethoxam, Chlorpyrifos, Clothianidin, Cypermethrin, Deltamethrin, Fipronil, Imidacloprid, Sulfoxaflor and other pesticides.

ALDI also announced that they will soon be stocking fresh meat and fish and will be closely analyzing the distributors that they purchase from.

Jason Hart CEO of ALDI said in a recent statement that, At ALDI, we are dedicated to the well-being of our customers by providing high quality groceries at the lowest possible prices and offering foods shoppers can feel good about serving their families. Our decision to remove these ingredients from all of our exclusive brand foods delivers on our ongoing commitment to meet the evolving preferences of our customers. Since more than 90 percent of the products we sell are under our exclusive brands, eliminating these ingredients will have a real impact on the over 30 million people who shop in our stores. Phil Lempert, editor of SupermarketGuru.com wrote that this is a sign of a changing industry.

Today’s shoppers are more involved with food than ever before. They want to know everything about their food and the companies that supply them – especially as it relates to ingredients and the impact on their families. ALDI is leading the supermarket industry in rightly responding to the science that shows the implications of these ingredients, and meeting the needs of the increasingly savvy consumers who don’t want artificial or potentially harmful ingredients in the products they buy. ALDI is best known for its low prices, in a recent price survey, it was shown that ALDI’s prices are 30% lower than Wal-Mart. ALDI is able to keep such low prices by ordering food through specific sellers, instead of buying a wide variety of brands. They also cut costs by limiting store displays and advertising.

They have announced that their new policy regarding pesticides and GMO foods will be effective as soon as possible.

ALDI currently only has select stores open in the US, but roughly 500 more stores will be built in the US over the next two years as part of a $3 billion expansion.

Monday Motivation

Happy Monday Morning,
Wow, if you have the opportunity to attend the fervent tour don't hesitate. It was a great experience. Anthony Evans is a phenom worship leader and Priscilla brought an excellent word. The atmosphere was charged with expectation.

Today is Monday Motivation and I found an African Proverb since we have few more days of Black History left. It simply says How every long the night,  the dawn will break. I don't know how many of you are experiencing a night time season but know that it won't last always. One of the concepts that resonated with me was that my feelings don't have intellect. My feelings don't think. So when you or I, are in a situation the results are not determined by our feelings/emotions they are determined by what we know. And we know that the scripture says, Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. So no matter how long the night might seem, when I'm in my feelings, I will come out and the sun will shine again.

Just remember that God is still God...and live Blessed.

Wednesday Word

Good morning,
Today is Wednesday word, I just want to share with you some of what God dropped into my spirit for bible class last night.

Acts 19:1-7The Message (MSG)
Now, it happened that while Apollos was away in Corinth, Paul made his way down through the mountains, came to Ephesus, and happened on some disciples there. The first thing he said was, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? Did you take God into your mind only, or did you also embrace him with your heart? Did he get inside you?” “We’ve never even heard of that—a Holy Spirit? God within us?”“How were you baptized, then?” asked Paul. “In John’s baptism.” “That explains it,” said Paul. “John preached a baptism of radical life-change so that people would be ready to receive the One coming after him, who turned out to be Jesus. If you’ve been baptized in John’s baptism, you’re ready now for the real thing, for Jesus.” And they were. As soon as they heard of it, they were baptized in the name of the Master Jesus. Paul put his hands on their heads and the Holy Spirit entered them. From that moment on, they were praising God in tongues and talking about God’s actions. Altogether there were about twelve people there that day.

The question that is ringing in my ears is have you received?  In the church world it is so easy to go through spiritual exercise and not really have the holy spirit on the inside. We know exactly when to raise our hands and sway in the breeze, but have we received?  Does the the Lord Jesus live on the inside of you or are you just reacting to the outside stimulus around you?

See if we have true gone through the repentance process, which is to be Godly sorry to the point that I turn from the wrong, and move towards a Christ like life then my heart is fertile ground for Jesus to come in. Our society has to many copycat kinds of things to satisfy our tastes but there is no copycat for the holy spirit. You must receive it to have power over the enemy.

The devil, your enemy, roams around this earth with one job. That job is to kill, steal and destroy your life and even if you are not your job, he is on his 24-7. The holy spirit comes so that we have power to resist the devil and make him flee from our presence. Too often we play nice with the devil, but a snake will always be a snake. Chop his head off and move on.

If you haven't seek the Lord and ask him to truly forgive you of anything that would hinder him from come in and then invite the king of kings to be Lord of your life. Yes, you might have done it before , but like all relationships,  it can use a stoking up.

Love you to life and as always remember...to live Blessed

Monday Motivation

Good Monday morning
I am so happy to be sharing with you this morning. I know for many of you this has been a hard weekend because Valentines Day focuses on the love of those in relationships,  but today I want to challenge you to love yourself. Love yourself enough that you do something today thst will empathy your future in a positive way.

What have been putting off for tomorrow?  Well tomorrow is today. Let's get after those dreams and goals. Put yourself to get signed up just one class, because it only takes one to get started. You might be ready to commit to a gym but take the stairs instead of the elevator.  Drink one less cup of coffee and one more glass of water. Love your self enough to change.

I know change is not easy, but you can't continue in the same fashion that your going. Continuing to endure the same hard aches is hard too. Take a chance. If you need an accountability partner, hit me up. Today is the day for you to win. Failure must come out of your vocabulary.  We all get discouraged, but shake it off, pack it under your feet and let it take you a little higher. The more you shake off,  the better view you have to the finish line. You already have the power inside you to win. Go gettum.

And remember as always...live Blessed

Friday findings

Good morning,
The weekend is upon us. I hope that you plan to do something special for yourself overt this Valentines weekend.
As we continue in black history month I wanted to share some findings.

Why 7 Deadly Diseases Strike Blacks Most

WebMD Feature by Daniel J. DeNoon

Several deadly diseases strike black Americans harder and more often than they do white Americans.

Fighting back means genetic research. It means changing the system for testing new drugs. It means improving health education. It means overcoming disparities in health care. It means investments targeted to the health of black Americans. And the evidence so far indicates that these investments will pay health dividends not just for racial minorities, but for everyone.

Yet we're closer to the beginning of the fight than to the end. Some numbers:

*Diabetes is 60% more common in black Americans than in white Americans. Blacks are up to 2.5 times more likely to suffer a limb amputation and up to 5.6 times more likely to suffer kidney disease than other people with diabetes.
African-Americans are three times more likely to die of asthma than white Americans.
*Deaths from lung scarring -- sarcoidosis -- are 16 times more common among blacks than among whites. The disease recently killed former NFL star Reggie White at age 43.
*Despite lower tobacco exposure, black men are 50% more likely than white men to get lung cancer.
*Strokes kill 4 times more 35- to 54-year-old black Americans than white Americans. Blacks have nearly twice the first-time stroke risk of whites.
Blacks develop high blood pressure earlier in life -- and with much higher blood pressure levels -- than whites. Nearly 42% of black men and more than 45% of black women aged 20 and older have high blood pressure.
*Cancer treatment is equally successful for all races. Yet black men have a 40% higher cancer death rate than white men. African-American women have a 20% higher cancer death rate than white women.

I don't give you these stays to scare you but to encourage all of us to do better. Every day that you do something to eliminate these risk for yourself you increase the length of time you to be here with your family.

Thursday Thoughts

Good morning,
Just wanted to share these steps to success. We all need little reminders along the way,  because it is easy to get distracted by everything around us.

1.Decide exactly what you want and where you want to go. You are the captain of your ship.

2.Set a deadline and make a plan to get there. (Remember, a goal is just a dream with a deadline.) Write it down, otherwise you will keep on dreaming.

3.Take action on your plan; do something everyday to move toward your goal. Make a list and check things off as you accomplish them.

4.Resolve in advance that you will persist until you succeed, that you will never, ever give up. As Les Brown says, you can't give up until you win.

Wednesday Word

Good morning Ladies
Today marks the beginning of Lent, a period of forty days (not counting Sundays which are set aside as mini-Easters of rejoicing in the Resurrection) beginning on Ash Wednesday and ending on Holy Saturday, the day before Easter. For many Christians, it is a season of repentance, fasting, self-examination, and preparation for Easter that reflects back to Jesus’ time in the wilderness before beginning His earthly ministry.

Jesus fasted for forty days and nights. After this, He was very hungry. The devil came to Jesus to tempt Him, saying, “If You are the Son of God, tell these rocks to become bread.” — Matthew 4:2–3

Fasting this is a basic tenet of a Christian walk that we sometimes ignore. Fasting requires sacrifice and most of us don't want to give up our conveniences, but if we are to posses the land it requires sacrifice. What is God asking you to sacrifice in order to hear him more clearly and know him in a better way?
The intimacy that we want with the father only comes when we have fasted.

As we look at the scripture Jesus had been fasting and then was immediately tempted by the enemy. Sister I know that some of us don't fast because we don't want the trials that the enemy bring to try to keep us from getting closer to God, but guess what. If you live in this human you are going to have trials, so why not go through with help?  In Mark 9 Jesus tells his disciples these kind come out by nothing but prayer and fasting. What situations do you need to fast for?
Take some time to ref to on where you are in your spiritual walk and where you want to be? What do you need to fast from? It truly needs to be a sacrifice. Ladies, I love you and God loves you even more.

Monday Motivation

Good Monday morning,
A question is resonating in my mind this morning.  Are you making a difference in someone's life? When God calls you are there people that can testify that you made a difference?

These are the questions that I have been pondering over the last few days.
And in the words of Joe Madison,  What are you going to do about it?

Today I want to encourage you to find someone to pour into. You should not be taking your wealth of knowledge to the grave. Someone should be able to share what you have share with them.

To live beyond your lifetime requires an investment in the next generation.  William Vann

Friday Findings

We made it to Friday Horray,

Since this is Black History Month and Heart Month, I wanted to share some information with you.

Heart disease & stroke is the No. 1 killer in women, and stroke disproportionately affects African-Americans. Importantly, African-American women are less likely than Caucasian women to be aware that heart disease is the leading cause of death.
Diabetes, smoking, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, physical inactivity, obesity and a family history of heart disease are all greatly prevalent among African-Americans and are major risk factors for heart disease and stroke. What’s more, African-American women have almost two times the risk of stroke than Caucasians, and more likely to die at an earlier age when compared to women of other ethnicities.
Here are a few unsettling stats:
  • Cardiovascular diseases kill nearly 50,000 African-American women annually.
  • Of African-American women ages 20 and older, 49 percent have heart diseases.
  • Only 1 in 5 African-American women believes she is personally at risk.
  • Only 52 percent of African-American women are aware of the signs and symptoms of a heart attack.
  • Only 36 percent of African-American women know that heart disease is their greatest health risk.

The truth about high blood pressure

More than 40 percent of non-Hispanic blacks have high blood pressure, which is more severe in blacks than whites, and develops earlier in life. This little known fact is something that, if known and treated in advance, could save your life.
African American Men: Take Note, while heart disease doesn't discriminate, your gender, race, ethnicity, and where you live can increase your risk. African American men are at the highest risk for heart disease. About 2 in 5 African Americans have high blood pressure, but only half have it under control.3 A recent article in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine also showed that Americans aged 30 to 74 who live the Southeast—specifically, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Georgia—are at higher risk of developing heart disease over the next 10 years than people who live in other parts of the country.4 Many of these states have a large African American population.

Wednesday Word

Good morning,
Today is Wednesday Word and want to share a little something that stood out for me at bible class, last night.

2Chronicles 7:12-15 NIV
“the Lord appeared to him at night and said: “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices. “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”

I count a real privilege when God chooses to speak to me. Here it says, that he appeared unto him. Wow, what an honor, even if it's for correction. Nobody shows up unless they are truly concerned. So the Lord shows up and says, I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place. Out of the places he chose this place.

Catch this, because chose this place I'm telling that some stuff is about to pop off, but don't get beside yourself about it. This is what you do. Humble yourself before me. Pray and seek my face. Why does he say pray and seek my face? Too often as believers our prayer is a list of wants, not prayer for direction. Not prayer that honors God and his mighty power. So he says pray and seek my face. Then turn from our wicked ways.

We don't talk a lot about repentance anymore. That whole concept of being so sorry for something that we turn from it, even when people are not around. Too often as Christians we are much like two year olds watching to see if anyone sees what we are doing. God forbid. We need to repent and stop just going through the motions and getting in our "church" stance with all of th jargon that comes along. But it is only when we have done all of the steps that he will hear us and heal our land. America we need a healing. Get back too seeking.

Monday Motivation

Good Monday morning!
I woke up this morning hearing it's not over. My sistahs no matter what the pit of he'll is throwing at you right now,  keep fighting because it's not over.

I have been seeing a trainer because the Lord impressed upon me that in the next season of this fight I need to be in shape and physically ready to do battle.  So I know some of you will faint when I say,  I've been going to the gym. I know it against my religion,  but it was time for change. Lol Anyway, to my point. I was doing some ab exercises and it was burning like all get out. I wanted to stop and my trainer said push past the burn. Ladies, it's not over, push past the burn. Push past the pain. Victory is just up the road.

Wouldn't be messed up to get to heaven and the Lord show you that the blessing you had been praying for was just around the corner but you gave up too soon. Don't give up. God is not through blessing you. Love you to life and as always...live Blessed
