Friday Focus

Good morning friends,
Grace and peace be unto you!

As the winter season starts to move in and the days get shorter consider your mental health. It took me a long time to figure out that I try to get home for its dark but in the winter that is difficult and it created anxiety. That small revelation helped me to understand what was triggering the anxiety so I can now address it. 

I say all of that to say this. There is something about losing the light of summer that can precipitate depressed in certain people so I want you to stay vigilant and focused on taking care of you. Exercise, drink plenty of water and eat good whole foods. Stay away from sugary items that produce spikes in your blood sugar. Find hearty stews and soups and pack them vegetables and greens. The better fuel you put in your car the better it runs. Your body is the same way. Feed it good foods that are good for it and it will run better. Focus on your health. You can help anybody else if you're broken down. Sis love yourself!
