Friday findings

September 6-12 is suicide prevention week.

After cancer and heart disease, suicide accounts for more years of life lost than any other cause of death.

In 2013, the highest suicide rate (19.1) was among people 45 to 64 years old. The second highest rate (18.6) occurred in those 85 years and older. Younger groups have had consistently lower suicide rates than middle-aged and older adults. In 2013, adolescents and young adults aged 15 to 24 had a suicide rate of 10.9

So let our prays today be for those that don't have any hope and believe that death is the only solution. Let's pray that tactics of the enemy are exposed. Pray that the pressures of life can be kept in perspective. Pray that depression, alcoholism, drug addiction a and other mind altering issues will be cast of the hearts and minds of people. Let us pray that God would use each of us to help someone along the way. Amen.
