Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!
As we think about transformation today we acknowledge world autism day. World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day on 2 April every year, encouraging Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) throughout the world.
Autism is a developmental disorder that affects an individual's social and communication abilities. The earliest signs manifest before three years of age, and therapeutic interventions are the only possible treatments. Early detection helps autistic children get the special attention they need. Both the child and the parents need to develop coping mechanisms for dealing with the symptoms of autism. Therefore, as parents, you must be sensitive to your child's behavioral characteristics.
I bring this to you today because when our children are born with no diagnosed disorders we can be insensitive to people with children who transverse this world from a different perspective. It is easy to get annoyed with the kids making noises or flapping their hands but that parent is just as frustrated. While you are only exposed to 15 mins they live with all of the realities of the disorder every day. Find a way to show a parent with a child who has other abilities love this week.
Until tomorrow
#liveBlessed
