Monday Motivation

Good day friend,
Grace and peace be unto you!

What are you manifesting on this marvelous Monday? With the new day comes new strength and thoughts. What new thoughts will you put into place this week that will build your strength and stamina for the journey. This time of solitude is very different for everyone but I do believe that are lessons each of us are learning about ourselves. Some feel that have to be uber productive. Others are taking this as rest time. Still others are essential works so they are living life as usual. Whichever category you find yourself in make sure that you are considering your thought life. 

Thoughts can be real simple and sometimes on autopilot but they can be all consuming at the same tume. If we dont take our thoughts under subjection they will run rampant. No matter what your take of this time is dont forget to think about what you are thinking about. Check your thoughts. Are they new? Are they positive? Are they propelling me into my future? If the answer to any of these is no then you need to retrain your mind. 

Start each day with gratitude. You can be negative and truly grateful at the same time. Get you a notebook and jot down gratefulness. This will give something to go back to when your strength is low. Love you to life.

Monday Motivation

Good day, my friend,
Grace and peace be unto you!

I pray that you and your family are being blessed by the Lord. I just wanted to remind you that you are ESSENTIAL. Your job may not be deemed as essential but YOU are essential to the kingdom of God. See too often we think the only people that are important or significant are pastors and community leaders, but I beg to differ with you. If there were no members neither pastors or other organizational leaders would be leading. You can not lead if nobody is following. You are important in whatever capacity you fulfill.

It is interesting to me that just a few months ago people were clamoring about not wanting to pay hourly workers more per hour. If they get paid more then employers would have to lay people off. I don't know about you but I am thankful for hourly workers at my local Walmart, Dollar General, Gas station and other places that are still open. Without them, some of you all would not be able to eat (I can cook). Without them, our parents would not have been cared for at nursing facilities. Without them, who would have continued to refill the shelves with food and toilet paper?

Use this time of solitude to really examine the significance of your essentialness and look differently at the essential people that are around you. God is using this time to shift how we see others. We are going to need each other in this next season. Love you to life.

Transformation Tuesday

As we transform it is imperative to remember it takes good and bad to build us. You learn just as much, and maybe even more, from your so called failures as your wins. See if a failure is painful enough you will fix it. If its relatively painless, you ignore it. The more immediate and costly a mistake the faster you learn from it. Never waste your pain. If you have to experience it grow from it, learn from it , and move on from it. 

If I win, I win. If I fail, I win. Either way I win. Sisters look for the win in every situation. Take a leap of faith. When listen to father all will be well. Love you to life.

I pray that you are getting along well. I just want to encourage you today that this won't last forever. Once this virus has run its course, like all viruses do, will you be prepared for the next season of life? 

Nothing happens by chance. Everything has a time and a purpose. You are in this moment on this day for purpose. If you don't know your purpose this time of staying at home that needs to be your focused. When we understand our purpose we know what to say yes to and what to decline. When we know our purpose we can march to the beat of our own drum. When we know our purpose we won't allow ourselves to be treated subpar. When we know our purpose we can move with ease in the world.  Get to know your purpose. Love you to life.

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. - 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 

God in his infinite wisdom is shutting down all of the things that keep us entertained so that the body of Christ can get back to the real important thing. God says seek me. Our present situation is a season of repentance. Will you lay on your face before God and repent? That is what Father is given us time and space to do. No work, no school, no sports, no events. Everything as we know it has changed.  Will we a a people prayer and turn. Not enough to just call down heaven if we don't turn from our wicked ways. Pray and turn. Love you to life.

Today I want to remind you to be grateful. It is so easy when everything around you in negative to get sucked in but I want you to resist the urge and focus on your blessings. You have been blessed beyond measure. No matter how much you think you don't have, you have more than a lot. Be grateful for the little things. They produce bigger things. Stop right now and say outloud something you are grateful for. Everytime negativity sounds start saying what you're thankful for. I only want the best for you. Love you to life.

I find it very interesting that we have been experiencing rain this entire week. There were tornados in Texas and other atmospheric conditions popping up. While these are not unusual they are metaphoric. There is a washing and a sweeping happening in our land. God is preparing us for the next shift. 

Growing up I remember my grandma using a sifter when she wanted the flour to be light and separated. God is sifting the particles that he doesn't want you to have out of your life. He is doing a separating while bring the family unit back together. Don't be sifted out in the next shift of God. Seek wisdom as to the direction you are to go. Hear Father speak and obey. Dont rush or pull the reigns. Let him lead this next waltz. This is a time of strategy. Prayer is your weapon. Dont be defenseless. Love you to life.

Transformation Tuesday

When living a transformed life you to always be conscious of the cycles that you find yourself in. This season that our world is facing right now is a prime example. What have you been rehearsing in your mind and with your mouth? Some are speaking death and destruction. While others are speaking hope and the power to overcome. Who's report will you believe? Death and destruction or life and hope? 

As you transform your life you must make a choice. A double minded woman/man is unstable in all their ways. Make a wise choice of peace. You can allow your emotions to get caught up and overwhelmed by the news or you can take a stand against the warfare that is all around. You choose. I am going to trust that all my needs are met and in abundant overflow. I'm going to believe that my body is healed and in good health. I'm going to be believe that everything attached to me wins. Sis you must believe this to be a winning season even when you dont see it. Love you to life.

God has not given us a spirit of fear but power, love, and a sound mind. In times like these we have to use our sound mind to not get caught in the panic. It is also important during times of confusion that we feed ourselves positively. What you take in is what will fill your spirit. I am cautious but I will not be in fear. I will not watch hours of fear laden television or news. 

We talk about mindfulness and I truly believe whatever we focus our minds on are the things we see come to pass on our lives. Too I want you to really examine your thoughts as it pertains to all that is happening. Is your focus on things above? Are your thought positive? Are you motivated to keep pushing? Love you to life.

Wednesday Word

Where is God calling to? See it's when we understand the direction we are to go that pursue the path. A runner is always fixed on the finish line. Whether there are tumbles, tiredness or any other distraction they stay focused. That is what you and I have to do. Press toward the reward. That finish line in Christ. No that doesn't mean death. There are many finish lines in this life before we get to the final one because we have small races every day. Don't lose site of the grand prize, but definitely thank God for the small victories each and every day. Love you to life.

Transformation Tuesday

As we look toward transformation in our lives we need to make sure that we are focusing our attention on the main thing. I don't know about you but sometimes I can get sidetracked by the noise of the marketplace and social media. When this happens it hard to know the true direction that we are supposed to be going in.

As you transform your mind, body, and spirit it is imperative that you get the mind of Christ. This is not always easy but it will give you the edge you need to push past the noise to the source of your strength. If you could fix it yourself you would have already done it. Nobody likes to be in broken places but it's the experience of being broken that makes being whole such a wonderful experience. Love you to life.

Finance tip for the day:
Get paid what you are worth. Do you know how much somebody with your skillset should be getting paid in the industry of which you work? Most of us don't. It is time to do some research so that you can get paid what you deserve. Make sure that you have the knowledge you need to be an attribute to have an educated ask. Being underpaid means that you are leaving money on the table. Yes, I know you are like this is cool but I do not like talking about or asking for money. Sis a closed mouth doesn't get feed. Speak up for your future. If you don't think you're worth it,  neither will they. Go get your money. Make sure that you have done your due diligence and speak your truth with confidence. Today we want to share a bit about getting your health on track. One of the most important parts to living healthy is getting good sleep. Sleep is your time to renew. Without good restful sleep your body does not have repair time. Does in any of the following sound like you?

Snoring is bothersome to others, but it can also be a sign of a more serious condition known as obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which is present in three percent of the general population. OSA is characterized by multiple pauses in breathing greater than 10 seconds at a time due to upper airway narrowing or collapse. This lowers the amount of oxygen in the blood, and causes the heart to work harder. Because the snorer does not get a good rest, they may be sleepy during the day, which decreases their performance. Untreated OSA can contribute to high blood pressure, stroke, heart disease, workplace or motor vehicle accidents, and more.

If this is you, get to your doctor. Your snoring is more than just annoying it could be life threatening. Dont wait too late. Love you to life

What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. - Matthew 6:30,34 

Wow, if you and I really understand to the core of our being that our father truly cares and is 100% concerned about is we font have to worry another day in our life. Hardtomes will come but you are not alone. If you find yourself being anxious and worrying ask yourself. Am I trusting God or what I see? The question is ley because everything might be counter what God is saying and how he wants to pull you out. Trust him when you dont see him. Trust him when you dont hear him. Here's the hard one.  Trust even when you dont feel him. What is God doing now? Get in his way! In his way you will find him and his will. Love you to life.

On this Tuesday morning I just want to remind you that you are enough. Everything that you need to transform into the beautiful being your were created to be is inside of you but you must activate it. 

When I was growing up there was a cartoon in which all the characters had a super power. In this there were twins called the wonder twins. When they needed their power to kick in the would fist bump and wonder twins activate and say what they needed to transform into to get the job done. Bump fist with the holy spirit and handle your business. Activate everything that you need to be successful. 

Transformation is hard work but its neccessary work. Love you to life.

Today's thoughts... it is so easy to be reactive but can you be proactive? Don't operate from your primitive brain. Evolve to a place where right-thinking, acting, learning and doing are the norm. When you have thought through the scenarios you have a go-to and you will be more confident in your decision making. The more you trust yourself to make the right decisions the more confident you become. As your confidence rises so will your swagger and people will be attracted to you.

Wednesday Word

Matthew 6: 5 “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites. They love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners and pray loudly. They want people to see them. The truth is, that’s all the reward they will get. 6 But when you pray, you should go into your room and close the door. Then pray to your Father. He is there in that private place. He can see what is done in private, and he will reward you.

Friends as we approach this lent season it is really time for us to look inside ourselves and search for our true motives. Why are we doing the things we are doing? Is it to get applause? Is it to see our name in lights? What is motivating us to do whatever it is that we do each day?

Matthew asks us to examine our motives in prayer. Are we praying to be heard by men or by God? As we enter into this Lent season it is a real-time to be introspective about our motives. The scripture tells us to pray in our room with the door closed. Now, we don't need to push this to the extreme in saying that we should never have corporate prayer. However, there is a way in which we should conduct our prayer. When we are talking to good friends we aren't loud and rambunctious. We lean in and listen and share intimate conversation. The writer is inviting us to have an intimate conversation with our father with no pretenses. Just you and your father. Private, intimate, and sincere. Love you to life.
