Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!
Grace and peace be unto you!
What is your love language? In our crazy busy world, it is easy to ignore speaking our families love languages. It is also important that you keep your in mind as you determine how matriculated through relationship ebbs and flows.
WORDS OF AFFIRMATION: In the age of technology, we can often overlook the simple pleasure of receiving a postcard. Why not pick up or design a few postcards you can keep on hand at home or the office? Write a short note of encouragement and commit to sending a postcard a day to different individuals for 30 days. Be careful though; you just may get addicted to the joy of brightening someone's day!
ACTS OF SERVICE: Studies have shown that clutter increases stress. If a friend or family member has been too busy to straighten up or get things in order, offer to help them organize. Choose a day you can tackle the kitchen drawers, child's playroom, garage, car, or other space. Set a time, and show up ready to help. After you are done, celebrate your accomplishment together!
GIFTS: Do you have some gently used items around the house that you don't use anymore? Look around and notice who might those items bless if you were to gift them. Whether it's a pair of old sunglasses, a lamp that someone has commented on, or cell phone sitting in a drawer, paying it forward can be fun and rewarding—it's a win-win!
QUALITY TIME: If you have a little extra money, watch the airline specials. When you see a stellar deal on tickets to an obscure location, research fun activities in the area. If you find a famous "dive" restaurant, community festival or celebration, or historic attraction, see if you can put together a quick, inexpensive day trip with a friend.
PHYSICAL TOUCH: We often underestimate the value of sitting in close proximity to those we love. Whether you are in a restaurant or watching TV on the couch, be mindful that you are not routinely separating yourself physically. Depending on the relationship, be aware of comfort levels, but be generous with your presence.
Until tomorrow
