Often we ask what can I do to make difference? I'm just a nobody how do I create chsnge? Read below, this is how everyone can do something that will bring about change in our crazy situation
The vote to confirm Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education is set for Tuesday, January 31st. In her confirmation hearing, she suggested that civil rights should not be upheld for students with disabilities and that guns should be allowed in schools because of the threat of grizzly bears. She has no experience teaching or leading a school. In order to prevent her from getting this position, 3 Republican senators on the education committee need to be convinced to block her nomination.
Sen. Pat Roberts is on the committee and needs to hear from everyone seeing this. Call his Washington Office at 202-224-4774 and tell him you oppose Betsy DeVos and expect him as your elected.
Representative in the Senate to vote NO. If you can't get through to his Washington office or just want to amplify your message call one of his local offices as well.
