Good morning,
Grace and peace be unto you!
Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up. - Proverbs 12:25
So plain and simple isn't it? What kind of words are you speaking? Pick um ups or put um downs?
Yes, I know it is easy to get frustrated in your situations but if that moves into worry or fret it will weigh you, and those around you, down. We all know that one person (or more) that always has something negative to say about everything and everyone. You start finding reasons to leave the room when they come. This is never a pleasant experience. Don't be that person.
Instead be that other person that you always find a reason to talk to. The person that when you leave their presence you feel like you could jump over walls and leap over troops. You are charged and ready to go.
The more we talk about our words and the power they have, the more we have opportunities to practice what we talk about. In toastmasters, you are made aware of your filler words. Once you know them you are more conscious of them and watch their use. Much like this, non productive word can fill your vocabulary and you not be aware. Listen to your conversations. What things are you saying that will not produce cheer and are definitely not picking anyone up? It's time to shift. You have too much beauty and light in you not to share it with others. You might be the only light they see all day.
Until tomorrow
#liveBlessed
