Good morning
Grace and peace be unto you!
Rejoice always and delight in your faith;be unceasing and persistent in prayer;in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
It is easy to give thanks when everything is going well, but it is much harder to give thanks when your world has been turned upside down. It is important that we don't lose faith in the rough times. I know, this is easier said than done but this is where our relationship was God begins to really grow. It's in the times where we have to trust him where we can't see him that we really begin to build our relationship.
Growing up we used to sing the song called through it all. Just summarize the song, says it through it all I've learned to trust in Jesus I've learned to trust in God. See you at the times when we don't see the full evidence of God working that we have to put down our flesh and let our spirit man cry out to its creator. No it's not easy but its necessary.
As we look around our world, our city, our neighborhoods there's so many things for us to be thankful for in the midst of so much chaos. God never promised that everyday would be a bed of roses but he did promise that he would keep us in spite of. My brothers and sisters I encourage you to use the power of gratefulness.
The power of gratefulness is just the ability to see the positive in any situation. Now I know you're saying well I don't see any positive in my situation but I promise you there is. You just haven't taken the time to look closely enough. Sometimes the things that feel bad are the things that are working for our good. Divorce news feel good but sometimes it's working for our good. Sickness doesn't feel good but sometimes that's the only way we begin to change our ways. No the situations aren't good but they work for your good. So brothers and sisters take the time to look and to see what God is working out in you.
